Our Taekwondo training includes a structured grading system that allows students to progress through various belt levels. Gradings are an integral part of our curriculum, where students are evaluated based on their techniques, forms, self-defense skills, and knowledge of Taekwondo principles. Our experienced instructors guide and support students through each grading, ensuring that they develop a strong foundation and continually improve their skills.
Sparring is a dynamic aspect of Taekwondo that focuses on practical application of techniques in a controlled and supervised environment. Through supervised sparring sessions, students gain invaluable experience in timing, distance, agility, and strategy. Our instructors emphasize safety and provide appropriate protective gear to ensure a secure training environment for all participants.
Patterns, also known as poomsae, are a series of choreographed movements that simulate a combat scenario against multiple imaginary opponents. Practicing patterns develops concentration, balance, power, and precision in executing techniques. Our classes focus on teaching a wide range of patterns suitable for different belt levels, enabling students to master the intricacies of each form and progress in their Taekwondo journey.
Taekwondo is not only a martial art but also an effective self-defense system. We incorporate practical self-defense techniques into our training programs, empowering our students with the knowledge and skills to protect themselves in real-life situations. Our instructors teach effective techniques to defend against common attacks, emphasizing situational awareness, confidence, and proper use of Taekwondo principles.
At NSW Martial Arts, we believe that Taekwondo extends beyond physical techniques. Our training instills the core principles of respect, discipline, perseverance, and self-control. These values are integrated into every aspect of our classes, fostering personal growth and character development in our students.
Taekwondo training provides an excellent opportunity to improve overall physical fitness. Our classes incorporate various conditioning exercises, including cardiovascular training, strength and flexibility exercises, and core workouts. By engaging in regular training sessions, students enhance their stamina, agility, coordination, and body control, contributing to a healthier and more active lifestyle.
At NSW Martial Arts, our grading process is a foundation of our students' progress and recognition. Our formal examinations occur every three months, providing a structured path for advancement. Students who meet the criteria set by our esteemed instructors are eligible to participate in these assessments.
Led by Master Orkun Besik, the Founder of Double Impact Taekwondo, and Head Instructor and Founder of NSW Martial Arts; Ihsan Deliktaslidan, our gradings reflect their expertise. Our belts hold authenticity, being sanctioned by both Australian Taekwondo and Kukkiwon, ensuring that your accomplishments are recognised and respected within the global martial arts community.
